Online Childhood Emotional Neglect Support Group
Next group starts June 2024!
Runs from 12-1pm CST for 8 weekly sessions
Feel alone, even in your own family?
Feel like your parent doesn’t really know who you are, or care to find out?
Feel like nothing you do will ever be good enough?
Think it’s pointless to set boundaries because they’ll just get thrown out the window?
Get nervous just thinking about bringing up a concern for fear of how they’ll react (or fear they’ll react the same as they have in the past)?
Feel like you can’t be OK unless they’re OK?
Get tired of the ‘judgy’ comments disguised as “support”?
Want things to change but just feel “stuck”
Do you ever…
If you answered “yes” to any of these, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
Welcome to the Childhood Emotional Neglect (CEN) Support Group where you’ll get the support and skills you need to confidently manage your relationship with your parents…even if they never change
Imagine being able to:
Understand your parent so you’re not constantly caught off guard (and disappointed) by them
Trust and feel confident in yourself
Set boundaries without feeling the need to over-explain
Identify your emotions and emotional needs, and meet them
Put an end to the people-pleasing and perfectionism

Hi! I’m Katie, your group coach
I’m so glad you’re here. Growing up with childhood emotional neglect often means facing not only your emotions alone, but your life alone as well.
But because CEN is due to relationship trauma, healing requires relationships. But not just any relationships, though - only relationships that provide safe, nonjudgmental and welcoming space for you to be seen, feel heard, and gain the skills you never learned before to navigate your relationships - and your life - with confidence!
I created the CEN Support Group for this very reason. Along with the validating presence of other group members who just “get it,” you’ll also get the benefit of my 12 years of experience as a therapist helping adults like you learn to reparent themselves.
I’m confident this group can be a powerful resource to help you finally get what you need in order to start living the life you want.
Space is limited so if you’re ready for a change, schedule a FREE 15 minute call to get started!
I can’t wait to further support you in this group.
Send this flyer to potential clients and encourage them to schedule a FREE 15-minute consultation with Katie to see if the group is a good fit.

Support Groups are successful when there is regular attendance on behalf of all the participants. This creates consistency and predictability, which are the foundation of building trust and safety. Group members are encouraged to plan around group times as best they can, only missing if there is something that is outside of their immediate control, such as sickness or death in the family.

Yes, it is ideal for all group members to be on camera for each group session. Being able to put names to faces, and observe facial expressions and some body language greatly decreases misunderstandings, and contributes to the feeling of connectedness and safety among group members.

Yes, online support groups can be just as effective as in-person support groups! In fact, it can increase your overall comfort level as you are surrounded by the familiarity of your own home/space during the group session. Plus, meeting online can eliminate other barriers to attendance, such as drive time/traffic, making it easier to fit into your busy schedule.
