 FAQs

  • There are 3 big differences between therapy and coaching:

    1. Focus: Therapists are specifically trained to treat mental illness, whereas coaches focus on non-clinical concerns, such as increasing confidence, communication efficacy, work-life balance, and setting boundaries, to name a few.

    2. Orientation: Therapy focuses more on the past to help increase understanding of how and why your current struggles developed as well as heal and resolve them. Coaching is present- and future-focused, meeting you where you’re currently at, and helping you achieve future goals.

    3. Regulatory standards: Therapists have to be licensed by the state in which they practice and must have completed certain requirements. Coaches do not have a regulatory board that requires certain training or certifications in order to practice.

  • One of the biggest benefits is that you will be working with a coach who is also a highly trained and experienced therapist AND has over 12 years of experience helping people like yourself understand and heal from CEN. I am goal-oriented and my style is direct, collaborative, and strengths-based to provide you with increased perspective, and thereby increased solutions to help you confidently and skillfully navigate your relationships and your life starting today.

  • No, you do not need to be a MN resident! Anyone in any state, or country, can experience the benefits CEN coaching!

  • Coaching sessions are conducted via secure telehealth link.

  • All sessions are 55 minutes in length and the investment is:

    1:1 Coaching = $140

    Couple/Family Coaching = $160

  • While coaching frequency and length varies from person to person depending on their unique experiences, effort, and goals, it typically consists of 8-12 weekly/bi-weekly sessions with a reduction in frequency after that.
